I. DESCRIPCION
El curso abordara diferentes visiones de arte y arquitectura propuestos por el concepto de
performance. Estas visiones se problematizaran por medio de diferentes aproximaciones
ofrecidas por el campo de los estudios de performance y por el estudio de ciertas practicas de la
cultura contemporanea. El curso profundizara una dimension ambigua propia de este concepto
con objeto de indagar en el territorio sensible del arte, sobre la construccion temporal del
espacio, en un contexto vinculado al mundo de las artes visuales, escenicas, la musica, la danza
y la arquitectura, entre otras varias manifestaciones culturales del mundo cotidiano.
II. OBJETIVOS
Generales
1. Alcanzar una vision critica de la historia de performance y de los estudios de
performance.
2. Problematizar el valor de esta dimension para la construccion del espacio y la
percepcion temporal.
Especificos
1. Investigar la trayectoria del concepto desde los a?os 60.
2. Profundizar las practicas de performance con casos de estudio especificos que
ilustren el concepto de performance en un sentido ampliado.
3. Establecer posibilidades y alcances del concepto de performance con objeto de
construir experiencias temporales, en espacios y lugares especificos.

V. EVALUACION
La evaluacion consiste en 3 notas.
- Nota 1. Respuestas a lecturas guiadas: 40 %
- Nota 2. Proyecto aplicado: proyecto personal 50%
- Nota 3. Participacion y asistencia 10 %
