I.COURSE DESCRIPTION

In this course, students will explore the mystery of the Holy Spirit, reflecting theologically on his presence in daily life and in the history of the Church. Through reflective lectures, case studies, teamwork and English Medium Instruction (EMI), students will develop a deep understanding of the Christian Revelation related to the Spirit of God. Reflection and faith engagement will be encouraged. Assessment will be addressed through active participation in discussions, individual and group reports, and written tests.


II.LEARNING OUTCOMES

1.Analyze the fundamental elements of the Holy Spirit through the interpretation of the Bible and the tradition of the Catholic Church, in dialogue with contemporary culture. 

2.Apply theological concepts, taking into account the historical, social and cultural context, in the description of the presence and action of the Holy Spirit that guides the believer to follow Jesus Christ in the Church. 

3.Evaluate the influence and dynamism of the Spirit of God in the world, through the analysis of cases and the identification of ethical and spiritual implications in professional or disciplinary contexts. 

4.Relate the work of the Holy Spirit in the Church, personal life and history through the application of theological concepts in the interpretation of the human and ecclesial experience.

5.Communicate the main learning outcomes of the course developed through the EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) methodology. 


III.CONTENT

1.Anthropology of the spiritual dimension of the person   
1.1.The spiritual dimension from an anthropological perspective.
1.2.The paradox of the human being: a finite being who has an infinite desire.	
1.3.The Christian proposal: Love received as a foundational experience. 

2.The Holy Spirit in the Scriptures and the Tradition of the Church. 
2.1.The meaning of the Trinitarian mystery. 
2.2.The Holy Spirit in the Old and New Testaments. 
2.3.The Holy Spirit in the Tradition of the Church. 

3.The Holy Spirit today 
3.1.Current Challenges for the presence and action of the Spirit.  
3.2.The Spirit in the Church today.
3.3.Presence and action of the Spirit in current society.
