I. DESCRIPCION
El vinculo entre naturaleza y sociedad esta en proceso de constante redefinicion. El curso busca introducir al
alumno a una vision sociologica del tema medioambiental, teniendo como punto de partida que la nocion de
"naturaleza" es una construccion social. Asimismo, estudia las principales lineas de investigacion en temas
medioambientales surgidas desde la sociologia y revisa la historia de la problematica ambiental.
II. OBJETIVOS
1. Comprender la naturaleza, el medioambiente y la relacion de ambos con la sociedad como fenomenos
performativos en constante negociacion.
2. Conocer las distintas aproximaciones y definiciones que la sociologia ha hecho del tema
medioambiental a lo largo de su historia.
3. Conocer las lineas de investigacion sociologica actual en temas medioambientales.
4. Estudiar la historia y los discursos del debate ambientalista.
III. CONTENIDOS
1. Naturaleza y sociedad: antecedentes teoricos.
1.1. Naturaleza y medioambiente en la teoria sociologica clasica.
1.2. Redefiniendo la relacion naturaleza/sociedad: estudios en ciencia y tecnologia.
1.3. Performatividad y ensamblajes heterogeneos.
2. Las dimensiones sociologicas del medioambiente.
2.1. Capital social y resiliencia.
2.2. Valores y modernizacion.
2.3. Globalizacion y sociedad del riesgo.
2.4. Territorio y justicia social.
3. Crisis medioambiental: discursos y controversias.
3.1. Historia del ambientalismo.
3.2. Cambio climatico: definiciones y politicas
3.3. Discursos medioambientales.
3.4. Enfoques interpretativos sobre controversias medioambientales.
