I. DESCRIPCION
El curso ofrece una entrada tematica y teorica a los estudios antropologicos en torno a la violencia, los
conflictos (armados) y la in/seguridad civil. El proposito global del curso es doble: primero se busca llevar a
cabo una revision teorica acerca de como la violencia, el conflicto y la in/seguridad son conceptualizados y
concebidos dentro de las distintas corrientes teoricas antropologicas. Segundo, a traves de estudios
etnograficos de Latino America y el mundo llevar a cabo revision critica acerca de los distintos ambitos en
que actos violentos tienen lugar discutiendo su relacion y sus efectos en las personas, las sociedades y los
estados involucrados.
II. OBJETIVOS
Generales
1. Adquirir una introduccion y una mirada a las problematicas y teorias de la antropologia y las ciencias
sociales sobre la violencia, el conflicto (armado) y la in/seguridad civil.
Especificos
1. Comprender y llevar adelante una discusion critica de los conceptos centrales de la violencia, el
conflicto y la in/seguridad civil.
2. Relacionar las tematicas centrales del curso con la teoria antropologica general.
3. Identificar estudios antropologicos clasicos y etnografias recientes sobre violencia, conflicto y
in/seguridad.
4. Llevar a cabo un analisis reflexivo y teoricamente fundando acerca de fenomenos asociados a la
violencia, el conflicto (armado) y la in/seguridad civil.
5. Discutir y reflexionar acerca de las implicaciones metodologicas y eticas de llevar a cabo investigacion
antropologica y etnografica sobre violencia y conflicto.
