CURSO: POETRY SIGLA: LET1748 CREDITOS: 10 MODULOS: 02 REQUISITOS: SIN REQUISITOS CARACTER: MINIMO DISCIPLINA: LITERATURA I. DESCRIPCION Curso que, con especial enfasis en el lenguaje literario y linguistico, analiza una seleccion de poemas de autores de habla inglesa. Asimismo, contempla el analisis de poemas, las teorias que sustentan la creacion poetica y su recepcion critica. II. OBJETIVOS 1. Desarrollar una respuesta sensible a textos poeticos. 2. Reconocer las principales corrientes en la poesia de habla inglesa. 3. Conocer los postulados de las diferentes escuelas criticas. 4. Fudnamentar las apreciaciones personales mediante juicios objetivos e informados. III. CONTENIDOS 1. Principales corrientes y movimientos en la poesia de habla inglesa. 2. Seleccion de poemas del canon de la poesia de los paises de habla inglesa: autores tales como: Auden, Brooks, Cleridge, Cummings, Dickinson, Donne, Eliot, Frost, Heaney, Keats, Plats, Poe, Pound, Whitman, Williams, Wordsworth y Yeats. 3. Seleccion de textos teoricos de los poetas estudiados. 4. Seleccion de textos criticos. IV. METODOLOGIA - Clases expositivas. - Analisisi de poemas. - Pruebas tipo ensayo. - Examen final acumulativo.
