I. DESCRIPCION
El curso analiza la proteccion y garantia de los derechos humanos en el ambito de las relaciones
internacionales. Para tal cometido, analiza la labor de los organismos intergubernamentales
especializados, asi como los esfuerzos de los Estados y de las organizaciones no gubernamentales al
respecto. El curso tambien aborda el estudio de los derechos humanos de manera comparada, a
modo de facilitar el aprendizaje respecto a la situacion de los derechos humanos en diversos
Estados, ademas del conocimiento acerca de las estrategias que las organizaciones no
gubernamentales desarrollan en el plano internacional para promover la agenda de derechos
humanos.
II. OBJETIVOS
Objetivos Generales
1. Estudiaroyn.comprender el concepto de los derechos humanos, sus instrumentos y organos de
protecci
2. Analizar, de manera comparada, casos de violaciones a los derechos humanos.
3. Conocer instrumentos internacionales de derechos humanos, asi como el funcionamiento de
los organismos intergubernamentales especializados en derechos humanos y el trabajo que los
Estados y las organizaciones no gubernamentales desarrollan.
Objetivos Especificos
1. Discutir acerca de las caracteristicas esenciales de los derechos humanos: universalidad,
indivisibilidad e inalienabilidad.
2. Estudiar el ofuncionamiento dehumanos,
los organos del sistema universal y del sistema interamericano
de protecci n de los derechos evaluando sus fortalezas, debilidades y carencias.
3. Conocer los sistemas regionales de proteccion de los derechos humanos: sistema europeo,
africano y americano.
4. Estudiar algunas deilas violaciones amlos importantes
Examinar, en espec fico, los rasgos as derechos humanos de manera comparada.
5. de la situacion de derechos humanos en
Chile.
