DESCRIPCION EL curso se centra en la relacion entre las personas y los materiales, indiferente del tiempo o espacio, analizando la relevancia social y cultural de las formas, usos y significados de los objetos, arquitecturas, el dise?o y los entornos de la vida cotidiana. II. OBJETIVOS General: 1. Comprender la necesidad de una perspectiva interdisciplinaria para investigar la cultura material. Especificos: 1. Aprender a encuadrar los objetos en un contexto amplio -sin "tiempos muertos"- en una relacion continua entre tiempo y espacio. 2. Comprender las implicaciones sociales de cada objeto en determinada cultura: ?Por que una cultura especifica usa un objeto determinado y no otro? ?Que relacion existe entre la forma y la funcionalidad del artefacto? ?Que influye mas en las elecciones de los artesanos: simbologia, eficiencia o moda? ?Como se relacionan esos mismos artefactos con su entorno y arquitecturas? 3. Comprender las implicancias patrimoniales del estudio integrado de la cultura material. III. CONTENIDOS 1. Introduccion a la cultura material. 1.1 ?Que entendemos por cultura? 1.2 Principales definiciones y fuentes. 1.3 La cultura material y los distintos tiempos historicos. 1.4 Interdisciplinariedad y cultura material. 1.5 Campos de trabajo. 2. Modulo 2: Objeto y sujeto. 2.1 ?Como estudiar la relacion entre hombres y objetos? 2.2 Naturaleza, cultura y relacion con el entorno. 2.3 Arquitecturas, espacios y objetos. 2.4 Relacion entre objetos y necesidades humanas. 2.5 Gestos tecnicos, produccion y concepcion. 3. Objeto, cultura y simbologia. 3.1 Cultura material y vida cotidiana. 3.2 A cada cultura cada artefacto. 3.3 Contactos y relaciones sociales. 3.4 Funcionalidad versus simbologia. METODOLOGIA - Clases teoricas integrando iconografia especifica y analisis de textos que incluyen profesores invitados de otras disciplinas. - Clases practicas integrando visitas a museo y salidas a terreno. - Lecturas guiadas por invitados interdisciplinarios. - Trabajos escritos o graficos en grupos interdisciplinarios. V. EVALUACION - Pruebas escritas periodicas de evaluacion: 40% - Asistencia y participacion en clases: 10% - Trabajo escrito y oral: 50% - Asistencia: 80% VI.
