A lo largo del semestre enfatizaremos tres discusiones generales: el paso desde la experiencia de campo a la descripcion etnografica; el analisis etnografico y la puesta en practica de la ?imaginacion etnografica?; la construccion del texto etnografico desde una perspectiva narrativa y estetica. En paralelo, y ayudados por las discusiones realizadas durante el curso, los estudiantes deberan seguir trabajando en sus anteproyectos de investigacion doctoral. II.RESULTADOS DE APRENDIZAJE 1.Desarrollar una problematizacion critica de la practica y produccion etnografica en terminos eticos e investigativos. 2.Discutir en torno a las dimensiones epistemologicas y esteticas de la practica investigativa y escritural en etnografia. 3.Reflexionar sobre los limites y potencialidades de la produccion etnografica contemporanea en diversos contextos socioculturales. III.CONTENIDOS Unidad I: DE LA EXPERIENCIA DE CAMPO A LA DESCRIPCION 1.1 Adecuacion de estrategias metodologicas en etnografia. 1.2 El dato etnografico: ?construido o descubierto? 1.3 Jerarquizacion de informacion, consideraciones eticas y el problema de la pagina en blanco. Unidad II: LA ETNOGRAFIA COMO EPISTEMOLOGIA 2.1 Del problema de la representacion al problema de la evocacion. 2.2 Positivismo y realismo clasico en etnografia. 2.3 Fenomenologia y hermeneutica en etnografia. 2.4 Realismo conjetural y especulativo en etnografia. Unidad III: LA CONSTRUCCION DE LA ETNOGRAFIA Y TEMAS CONTEMPORANEOS 3.1 Asuntos contemporaneos de la etnografia ?campos, posibilidades y limitaciones. 3.2 La etnografia como artesania. 3.3 Etnografia interespecie y posthumanismo. 3.4 La etnografia como pornografia. 3.5 Etnografia, exotismo e idealizacion. 3.6 Etnografia colaborativa: produccion del texto y cuando ellos leen lo que nosotros escribimos. 3.7 Etnografia del estado, burocracia y grupos de poder. 3.8 Autoetnografia. 3.9 Etnografia y activismo. IV.ESTRATEGIAS METODOLOGICAS La metodologia del curso combina seminarios de discusion, presentaciones de los estudiantes sobre la bibliografia y sus proyectos de investigacion, sesiones lectivas y presentaciones de profesores invitados.
