DescripciónNombre en inglés: | APPLIED LINGUISTICS AND COMMUNICATION | Descripción: | In this course the students will learn how verbal interpersonal communication participates in issues of language development, cognitive and social development and in the processes of building personal and professional identities. Special attention will be given to both oral and written communication practices in second language pedagogy and to the contribution of interactive conversational behaviour in the development of relational skills. Students will evaluate the advantage of using interdisciplinary conceptual frames and observation tools to interpret and solve problems in real life situations where language use plays a central role. Concepts from disciplines other than linguistics, particularly from psychology, sociology, pedagogy, anthropology and intercultural studies will be brought to the class discussion of the applied linguistics and communication topics. |
